Girls Talk: The Sexualization of Girls

Girls Talk: The Sexualization of Girls is a candid discussion with teenage girls about their perspective on society’s image of young girls. The campaign was administrated by the Public Interest Directorate of the American Psychological Association. The poster is the main promotional piece for this campaign. We wanted to explore the nature of this theme; therefore, we used a youthful, feminine color palette with playful graphics and type. Taking the silhouette of one of the female participants, we made her the focal point in the poster and highlighted the theme with the subtle provocative gesture and colorful illustrative treatment.
